What is a digital asset?

A digital asset is any digital representation of value that is not a fiat currency and that can be transferred, stored or traded electronically. Digital Assets are designed to work as a medium of exchange that uses strong cryptography to secure financial transactions, control the creation of additional unit and verify the transfer of assets.
